IIm so sorry I dont know what came over me, I whispered, my lips pressed against her forehead. Its okay Nick. It happens, and I needed it anyways, she whispered back. It was spur of the moment, but its been a long time coming What? she said, pulling away from me. I ummI love you Bella. I always have. Since I can remember. When we had anatomy and pre-cal together, my freshman year and your junior year, and we were lab partners? I cant have you because youre Joes, but it doesnt change the things I feel. I stood there in shock at what Id just said. Lose me? If I told you, things wouldve gone bad with Joe, and I wasnt going to ruin what the two of you had. And being your lab partner wouldve been awkward and I didnt want that. I wanted to cherish whatever time I could have to spend with you, whether it be as your boyfriend or your friend. When you love someone but they dont love you back, you do anything to be a part of their life. Even if they cant give you what you want, you take whatever you can get, and you make the best out of it. And its what I tried to do, I said, sliding my hands down her soft arms until I reached her hands. Before I could act, she intertwined our fingers and moved closer. I wish youd have told me sooner.
